As you are now all aware, we are moving into the new season under a new operating model that will see us take ownership of the complex from 1 Oct ’24 to 31 Mar ’25, with autonomy to make operational decisions on how we want to run the facility.

We are heading into the final stages of this important process, with legal agreements currently being drafted by external lawyers for a fair and equitable handover from the Sporting Club, and to ensure protections are in place for both the Cricket & Footy Clubs. We were hoping to present an updated Constitution for this AGM, but without the legal agreements in place, a final copy for voting purposes will not be available until a Special General Meeting at a later date (prior to season commencement).

Whilst this operational change presents an exciting opportunity for the Cricket Club – where EVERY DOLLAR WE MAKE AFTER COSTS 𝙄𝙎 𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎 – it will also require more work. In addition to depending on more volunteers to lend a hand each week, we may also call for additional Committee positions to be filled at this upcoming AGM, such as Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Secretary (NB: Committee Members may hold more than 1 position but havethe power of 1 vote only).

Every member will be tasked with various roles throughout the season to assist with our no.1 priority: playing cricket. So please ensure you’ll be able to offer that level of commitment to the Club if you choose to nominate or accept a position.

Members coming to the AGM will also have the opportunity to raise any important issues they feel the newly selected Committee should consider in the new season.

Hope to see many of you there!

One of the most important AGM’s the Cricket Club has had for a while, so make sure to pop this one in your calendars 👍

What a fantastic night…very well done ASCA…over 300 attendees…of note great banter with the next table ( Keswick Cc) …congratulations to our award recipients in particular Dan Voyzey for his S2 Zadow medal & Mpcc received 3 spirit of cricket awards…we had a great table & a very good time!

Exceptionally good time had by our table. MPCC definitely the most enjoyable table of the night, many awards, and we won 2 of the 3 raffle prizes as well. Binga won 1st, and young Dylan Conroy a dozen bottles of red for 3rd. Good to hear the President mention himself in his acceptance speech for DV's medal. Great company.

Fantastic night, thanks fellas, Dylan also had a great night! The wine is fantastic. 🏏🍺

What a night! A little under 100 people joined us to celebrate a fantastic season. We may have fallen short of a grand final win but there was plenty to celebrate.

Our season started with a huge amount of experience not returning. Combined with a bad run of injury & illness, it left the program looking a little vulnerable.

But that didn’t stop our Roo Family from rallying together to help our 5 team Captains field 5 sides every week 😊 And one of the benefits was being forced to elevate some of our younger players to higher grades – which proved to be invaluable.

This year’s awards included 2 new ones: a Coaches award and an Everyday Hero award (which went to none other than the Roos superstar Nick Valstar). The complete winners list is attached.

The MPCC Committee would like to thank ALL the junior and senior players for playing the game they love for the Roos. We also sincerely thank all the team captains, junior coaches and training coordinator Trent for the time they all dedicated to their additional roles. Our many valued sponsors allow us to train and field all of our teams so make sure to support them every chance you get 👍

And lastly, to the family members, partners and many other Roo supporters who come to the games and come back to the Club afterwards… we can’t thank you enough ❤️

THANK YOU ROOS, FOR ANOTHER WONDERFUL SEASON ❤️💛💚
