To our Roo’s family,
We have a number of functions coming up over the remainder of the season, so please see below the information on these, and we ask that you “save the dates” below in your calendar.  All events are open to everyone to attend so we would love to see you at all, or any of these listed below. Some events require RSVP’s for catering purposes, with the details for each as shown.

This coming Saturday we host our annual Sponsor’s Day from 3-6pm, which allows us to show our sincere appreciation to all of our Club Sponsors who support us so fantastically!
It’s a full day for both our Men’s and Women’s senior teams at home, commencing with the men’s B-grade at 12:15pm (Westminster OC don’t have a C-grade team, so there is no C-grade game this week). The men’s A-grade team will be wearing a replica heritage guernsey that was worn by MPFC from 1968-1972.  Each jumper will be auctioned off afterwards in the clubrooms at 1/2 time of the Women’s A Grade game (approx.7 – 7:15pm). If you’re interested in bidding on a guernsey but can’t be there on Saturday night, you can place a silent bid up to 6pm on the night. To do so, simply call or text your name and bid amount or bid limit (with preferred guernsey number if you have one) to 0413-285-510. If your bid isn’t surpassed by a live bid, your will be classed as the successful bidder and your bid will be binding.

Ladies Day is back! One of our most popular events each season, it’s always a great day for all the wives, partners, parents and friends in general to let their hair down and get to know everyone else in the Roo’s family. We are a very welcoming, family orientated club and want to make sure that everyone’s comfortable and enjoys their time with us. So, spread the word wide and fast and make sure you RSVP ASAP, as the last 2 years have sold out quickly!

Past Players Day versus Scotch OC.  After our last gasp loss to Scotch in round 4, this promises to be a very important game in shaping our season. Now that we don’t have number restrictions in play for the first time in 3 years, we ask that ALL past players, officials, members and supporters from ANY year, ANY era, ANY team, come out for what promises to be a big day, with some big personalities and even bigger stories. Each year we hear about people who are wanting to come but haven’t heard about it, and as it’s almost impossible to contact everyone nowadays, we ask that if you’re reading this right now and know of anyone else that would like to join us on this day, please forward this email to them, give them a call or send them a text to please make sure they are aware of it.

Due to a “perfect storm” of unavailabilities on the weekend, the “100 Club” has been pushed back to a Saturday night event, to be held on July 9. The always popular reverse raffle offers some great chances to win some great $$$, and with all every number having a better than 1 in 10 to at least win your money back, the odds won’t get better anywhere else. Your ball number also comes with an option for a drinks package or just “pay as you go”. Please see the below flyer to secure you lucky number and contact Nick Shanks ASAP on 0411 688 974.

Our “Night at the Races” is a night where even if you have no idea about horse racing and/or gambling in general, we still promise you a great night of entertainment. With all of the atmosphere of the track, you can bet as lot or as little as you like – pick your favourite name, favourite colour or simply “the favourite”, and see if you can send the bookies broke!
We don’t ask for dress code to many events but for this one we ask that you get into the night by “glamming up” as if you were heading to a big Cup Day at the Racecourse.
